This product lives up to its name of being simple. I love to use it when I want to mix in liquid highlight for a natural glow, or if my skin feels irritated that day. The oat calms my skin down and also has a cooling sensation.
I love that this moisturiser has very few ingredients in it as I know it’s not going to react with my other skincare products. It’s very gentle and soothing. I have dry, sensitive skin and like to layer on various toners, essences and serums before using this moisturiser to seal it all in. It’s very lightweight and sinks in quickly.
I’ve heard amazing things about this moisturiser and I was so excited to try it! Unfortunately it has left my skin feeling greasy and dehydrated. Even though they’re made for this purpose, I’m finding that gel/water creams just don’t work for oily skin.
I wanted to love it but I just don’t think I can! It took me forever to find a basic moisturiser that is fragrance free/essential oil free, non clogging, oil free and no crap ingredients or preservatives. I love it’s simplicity however I feel it is failing at its most important job. Moisturising! I have combination skin and only my forehead gets a bit oily the rest of my face is pretty normal.. but I found this did not give enough hydration.. particularly if using a chemical exfoliant beforehand! This moisturiser did not add enough moisture and nourishment to support a routine that uses drying products like exfoliants. Certainly not suited for dry skin types. I use a hydrating toner and serum beforehand and I feel this product doesn’t ‘seal it all in’. Really oily skin types might find it ok as it does sink in a really well without any greasiness.
